The Vision- Eric Jenkins

As founder and CEO of PrimeX Technology, Eric Jenkins brings over 20 years of experience in the technology arena.  Following 6 years of service in the United States Navy as a Nuclear Chemist, Applied Material recruited Eric.  His role as an engineer was to provide support for the aggressive tool installation ramp at Intel Sites across the globe.  As a result of his exemplary work, Eric was promoted to Lead Engineer within 6 months and shortly after he was promoted again to Site Supervisor of the Intel FAB 12 400mill tool installation.

Gaining invaluable management experience during his term as a Site Supervisor, Eric became a key member of a start up company, which focused on the delivery of remanufactured semiconductor equipment to the IC chip manufacturers.  Eric developed and managed this process for several years before leaving to pursue his entrepreneurial goals.  PrimeX Technology was founded intending to take all that Eric had learned throughout his career and offer remanufactured services on an entirely different level.

PrimeX delivered over 100 completed remanufactured systems to the worldwide market place.   PrimeX ‘s reputation was built on the company’s primary mission; making sure that the customers needs were always first.  As the semiconductor industry began to change, Eric quickly realized that diversity was the key to not only survive but also thrive in the ever-changing technology marketplace.

Through a long-term relationship and key association with Arizona State University Micro Electronics Lab, PrimeX was introduced to the world of government procurement.  Eric’s vision for PrimeX began to transform as he quickly researched the requirements, critical path items and opportunities.   After fully defining the market opportunities in the Federal Space, PrimeX Technology immediately identified and began to acquire the certifications needed to aggressively pursue the multitude of opportunities to successfully do business with the United States Government.

Understanding the value of associations, Eric worked diligently to further develop key relationships with Senior Program Managers in Navsea 04. Possessing these high level relationships allowed PrimeX Technology to gain exposure at a decision-making level and they have given PrimeX a competitive advantage.

The Transition & Expansion

As PrimeX’s exposure and credibility grew, Eric felt it was the right time to expand the company’s core service offerings.  Earlier this year, after a great deal of research,  PrimeX Technology began to aggressively pursue opportunities in the Information Technology arena.  Eric redefined the core infrastructure of PrimeX, adding Operational structure and establishing an expanded sales team for both the Semiconductor and IT Divisions. Brad Hill was added to the team as the Director of IT, to lead the implementation and development of an aggressive IT program within PrimeX Technology.  Travis Wilson and Adrian Clark bring significant technical experience and depth to the Semiconductor Division and Subject Matter Experts, in core areas, have also been significant additions to the PrimeX IT team.

Community Outreach

PrimeX Technology feels that it is very important as a business and individuals to support the community.  PrimeX, as a company, and individual PrimeX team members participate in a multitude of philanthropic activities.  These activities include:

  • Donation of a $500,000 semiconductor manufacturing system to the Arizona State University Poly Technical Institute.  PrimeX received Supplier Excellence Awards for three consecutive years from ASU for contributions above and beyond.

  • PrimeX Technology is an active supporter of a Phoenix based non-profit organization entitled “Vested Interested”.   This group works with young, minority males; athletes and non-athletes, to provide them with resources to pursue and obtain a higher education.  Summer jobs, scholarships, tuition assistance, room and board, board exam fees and travel expenses are offered through this excellent program.  PrimeX Technology intends to provide one full scholarship per year through “Vested Interest” beginning in 2010.   We feel very passionately about supporting this cause of educating our minority and disadvantaged youths.
